Body Waxing
Body Waxing for Ladies – Sydney
Dermal Glow Electrolysis and Laser – centrally located in Earlwood – provides body waxing services for ladies in Sydney. We offer soft and hard waxing at our Sydney clinic. Our clinicians use only quality waxing products, such as Lycon SoBerry Delicious strip wax and Caronlab Deluxe Strawberry Crème hard wax. As a reputable waxing clinic in Sydney, we take your safety, hygiene, and comfort seriously.
Unlike electrolysis and (to a lesser extent) laser, body waxing is a temporary form of hair reduction that requires periodic maintenance (probably every month if you like smooth, shiny skin). The benefit of regular body waxing is that it’s likely to reduce the rate of hair regrowth over time. Our experienced clinicians will advise you on how to get the best results from soft and hard waxing in Sydney.
Benefits of Body Waxing for Ladies in Sydney
- No annoying nicks that bleed.
- Can remove large amounts of hair quickly.
- Is relatively inexpensive (compared with other hair removal treatments).
- Provides a smooth feel and look after treatment.
- Is considered safe if the wax is applied by an experienced and competent clinician.*
* An experienced and competent clinician will ensure the wax is warm (not uncomfortably hot) for the client. Like all cosmetic treatments, an element of risk is involved.
What’s Involved in Body Waxing?
Body waxing involves applying soft or hard wax to areas of the skin to remove hair. The wax is applied to the skin and allowed to harden, then removed by hand or strips (removing hair in the process). Our clinicians are skilled at soft and hard waxing in Sydney.
Important Note: As a rule, body waxing is unsuitable for people with diabetes or circulation problems.
Soft versus Hard Waxing in Sydney
Soft Waxing
In soft waxing, the clinician at our Sydney clinic applies the warm wax with a spatula, lets it set, then removes it with muslin strips. Any residual wax is removed with a special oil or petroleum jelly. Large areas of the body that aren’t overly sensitive, such as the legs, torso, and back, are suitable for soft waxing. Soft waxing is generally a little harsher and more painful than hard waxing, as the strips remove the top layer of skin.
Hard Waxing
In hard waxing, the clinician at our Sydney clinic applies the warm, thick wax with a spatula, lets it set, then removes it by hand (disposable gloves are used). Any residual wax is removed with a special oil or petroleum jelly. It takes considerable skill to apply hard wax properly; however, it’s more suitable for sensitive areas, such as the face and pubic region. The beauty of hard wax is that it only attaches to the hair and not the skin as well.
In the case of a full-body waxing, it’s conceivable that our clinician will use a combination of soft and hard waxing.
